About 40 high school seniors and college students are hired each year to live and work on Shocco’s campus for 9-10 weeks during the summer. Summer staffers provide essential services for our guests, and also participate in worship, Bible study, recreation, and mission trips throughout the summer. Benefits include close friendships, job experience and the joy of serving others.

Summer Staffers may be hired to serve in the following departments:
Event Services- Responsibilities include cleaning windows, setting up rooms, operating video/sound equipment, vacuuming and assisting with a variety of other services we provide for guests.
Guest Relations- Responsibilities include taking reservations, renting golf carts, taking photos of guests for social media and print publications, working the front desk and assisting guests with any and all needs.
Lodging Services- Responsibilities includes making beds, cleaning carpets and windows, vacuuming, washing and folding linens and performing other essential cleaning services.
Recreation- Responsibilities include facilitation of High and Low Rope Challenges, Paintball, Bazooka Ball, Pedal Cars and any other recreation services offered to guests.
Lifeguard- Red Cross certified lifeguards supervise water and recreation activities to ensure the safety of guests. Lifeguards maintain the swimming pool, courts and lakefront areas.
Food Service- Responsibilities include coordinating preparation and clean-up for every meal in each of our three dining rooms.
Sales and Marketing- Responsibilities include journalism, website, social media, and marketing.
